AFCIG organized a workshop for persons living with disabilities in Bamenda, North West Cameroon on 9th May 2015 as part of its project ‘Collective Action for the Promotion of the Rights of Youths Living with Disabilities (CAPRiY)’ project. The workshop was facilitated by a team from the Coordination Unit of the Association of Persons Living with Disabilities and ACMS and had 16 persons living with various forms of disabilities in attendance.
Participants took part actively in sessions held at the Special Needs Entrepreneurship Hall Bamenda, on the Rights of Persons Living with Disabilities, the Procedure for obtaining the National Invalidity Identification Card, HIV/AIDS Prevention and much more!
The project which is financed by the 8th UNESCO Youth Forum, aims to support persons living with disabilities to improve on their livelihoods by providing them with technical and material support to live healthy lives, run their businesses and advocate for their rights.
